Statement of Faith
Midland Classical Academy is guided by the following beliefs. It is our conviction that sound doctrine is vital to the health and impact of MCA, but that sound doctrine alone is powerless without the unifying work of love which unites our hearts through the power of the Holy Spirit.
We believe the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is the verbally inspired and infallible Word of God, and our final authority in all matters of faith and practice.
We believe that God eternally exists in three persons — the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; and that these three are one God.
We believe in the deity and humanity of Jesus Christ — His virgin birth, sinless life, atoning death, bodily resurrection, and ascension to the right hand of the Father.
We believe salvation is a gift of God's grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone, and not as a result of any human works.
We believe humanity was created in the image of God but fell into sin, bringing spiritual death and separation from God to all people.
We believe every believer is complete in Christ and is called to grow in grace, knowledge, and Christlike character.
We believe those who are truly born again are kept secure in Christ by the power of God.
We believe believers can have present assurance of their salvation grounded in the promises of God's Word.
We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer, empowering them for godly living, witness, and service.
We believe all true believers are united in one body, the Church, of which Christ is the head.
We believe every believer is called to represent Christ faithfully in word and deed to a watching world.
We believe in the resurrection of the dead, the eternal blessedness of the saved, and the eternal, conscious judgment of the lost.
We believe Satan is a real and defeated enemy, and that believers are called to stand firm in Christ's victory.
We believe God gives spiritual gifts to His people for the building up of the Church and rewards faithful service.
We believe in the personal, visible, and glorious return of Jesus Christ to fulfill His promises and establish His reign.
We believe Scripture is to be interpreted in its literal, normal, and historical-grammatical sense.
We believe God is the sovereign Creator of all things and rules over His creation according to His perfect purposes.
For purposes of Midland Classical Academy’s faith, doctrine, practice, discipline, and policy, the Board of Trustees is Midland Classical Academy’s final interpretive authority on the Bible’s meaning and application.
