Midland Classical Academy partners with families to develop Christlike leaders.
Our educational philosophy begins with a simple conviction: parents are the primary educators of their children. MCA does not replace that responsibility. We come alongside families with structure, accountability, and shared purpose.
Service & Community
MCA requires families to complete a set number of service hours each year at either the Grammar or Upper School.
When parents volunteer with excellence, they visibly communicate the value of Christian education. Students see that their parents believe this work matters, not only in word, but in action.
Grades K–6
The Grammar School operates within a structured hybrid model. Students attend campus two and a half days each week. On the remaining days, instruction continues at home under parental guidance.

Lessons are introduced at school and assessed in the classroom, but much of the learning happens within the parent–child relationship at home.

Grades 7–12
While Upper School students attend campus full-time, parental involvement remains essential. The role shifts from direct instruction to oversight, accountability, and relational guidance.
Upper School parents are expected to:
Communication between parents and tutors is proactive and ongoing. Tutors provide timely updates when students struggle or fail to meet expectations. Likewise, parents are encouraged to inform tutors of circumstances that may affect performance.
Students thrive when they know their parents and tutors are aligned.
When students are “dropped off” without parental engagement, they often struggle to meet the demands of a rigorous classical education. MCA’s model works best when school and home operate in harmony.

When families and tutors work as one team, students are better equipped to develop discipline, wisdom, and Christlike character.
